My Two New Leopards

I have recently become the owner of two new (well actually used... but new to me) "leopards". That's right, I said LEOPARDS!!! I know what you're thinking,"They'll kill him... Where will he keep those things! Leopards!?!?!". Yes I know you're worried but it's true, I have two new (used) leopards in my home. Let me explain.

The first leopard I got while I was on tour. A drummer from the band "This Beautiful Republic" (an AWESOME band Im in love with now) was selling one. He had only owned it for about 6 months I think and had bought another similar breed so he was selling this one. For those of you who might not know, I had been wanting one of these for over a year now, especially when I found out they came in smaller sizes. A week before I left on tour I actually went to the store and tried to buy one but I didn't have enough money, so this deal was off, until now. I told him to wait for a day and I would pray about it and the following day, I went for it!!! It came with its original box was practically brand new! No scratches nothing... flawless.

So wait before I show you this thing, let me tell you about my next purchase. This one was actually FREE. Yeap FREE!!! Again, while I was on tour, my wife calls me. She says that this weird animal is outside our house crying and stuff. She opened the door and it came in and she shoved it out with a broom. She was all freaked out! See we live out by a lake so there are alot of wild animals always runnin around. Well, she left to work and then came back home for lunch. After she came inside she heard it again! She went out the back door this time and snuck up on it and sure enough it was a leopard! She let it in our house and called her mom over to check it out. It didnt tear anything up or do anything crazy. Her mom finally got brave and picked it up only to find out that it had been DECLAWED in the front and NEUTERED. Crazy right... well that pretty much meant it had a previous owner or something. She ended up keeping it overnight in our home and then waited a few weeks to see if anyone said they lost this thing or it escaped from somewhere. By the time I got back we still hadnt heard anything yet so we took it to the vet and sure enough they said it was a leopard! Well really they said it was an Asian Leopard mixed with a domesticated house cat... or a Bengal!!!

So check out both of my new, previously owned, LEOPARDS!!!

A new 13' Unibody MacBook with Leopard Operating System X installed and my free Bengal Asian Leopard house cat! Cool huh? That's right two new (previously owned) Leopards in my home as we speak. I know, I know, I led you on... but I couldn't resist!

I've always wanted a MacBook and thanks to my new buddy Cameron I got one. The Bengal is a "wish list item" as well. A few years ago we went to a friends house and we drooled all day over his Bengal house cat. It was soo beautiful but I couldnt afford the $1000 price tag. So for it to just show up at my house is crazy. We think someone might have let it go out in the wild since we live far out and we have alot of military people moving in and out our neighborhood when they get called for duty. Either way we havent seen any newspaper ad's or lost cat posters so I guess he's officially ours.

The only thing left do now is name them... I usually name my computers (yea Im a geek!) and I think I have a name for the cat. They are both "he's" so I think I will name the MacBook "Kitty Kitty" and the cat "OSX" (pronounced: OhhEsssTin). I mean hey why not?

If you didnt know before this email I have been touring with B.Reith, a new artist on the Gotee Records. He's a fresh new mc/singer/musician all wrapped into one. I first found his music on his MySpace and shared it with my family and friends. They all loved it and wanted more but we couldnt get anymore because you had to order a cd... no downloads :( and we were lazyyy... So to make a longer story shorter, we ran into each other at an event, my friends were his friends and bam now we are touring. Its great stuff and gives me a chance to try something new with very talented people.

So this fall I will be touring with B.Reith for two months on the Creation Fest Tour . Im very excited and it should be amazing! Its mostly contemporary style worship/rock groups but if you are in the area you should definately come check it out. We have a short set so dont be dissapointed, but then again you might never see this B.Reith / Dj Promote combo again for another 50 years!!!

Press Release: Syntax Records partners with Ahmad

Syntax Records partners with Ahmad
4th Avenue Jones Frontman Comes Alive with 'The Death of Me'

Best known for his 1994 hit "Back in the Day" and fronting the genre-busting band 4th Avenue Jones, hip-hop legend Ahmad joins the Syntax Records family. This also marks the launch of Ahmad's label, WE C.L.A.P., which stands for "We Change Lives, Attitudes & Perceptions". The San Diego-based Syntax and the rapper from South Central Los Angeles fuse together to launch a new chapter in this West Coast story. "

I have known [Syntax Records Co-Founders] Tim and Steve Trudeau for years. They are great people, and they love hip-hop culture. They are extremely committed to their craft. Who better to partner with on my new album," Ahmad says. "With the energy and focus of me and my team, along with the fresh staff at Syntax, we should all do very well. The goal is to enhance each other like Roc-A-Fella and Def Jam. It's an exciting time."

"We are proud to be working with Ahmad," says Syntax Records President Tim Trudeau. "We've been fans since the beginning. Now, 15 years later, we're proud to say that Ahmad can call Syntax his family."

Ahmad has been a friend of Syntax Records since 1999 when he collaborated with Sackcloth Fashion on Something For Everyone to Hate. "

It hit a certain point where we both realized that it would make sense to work together on a professional level," Trudeau explains. "Mutual respect is an extremely powerful business tool. With our rapid growth and Ahmad’s work ethic we believe we are at a pivotal moment to thrust him back into the forefront of listener-ship."

Syntax Records and WE C.L.A.P. will jointly release Ahmad's upcoming project, The Death of Me. The album, which is Ahmad's second solo record, promises to reflect his years rising above the trappings of hip-hop fame and the new life he has now both personally and professionally. "

The Death of Me is a return to the kind of hip-hop music that we all love: dope beats and well-crafted lyrics. The title has to do with death being something we should all appreciate," Ahmad explains. "In order to die, something must have lived. So, we celebrate the life lived, and we view death as an opportunity to transition into a new phase of life. I experienced the death, or ending, of several relationships during the last couple of years; however, as a student at Stanford University and with this new album on the way, I have never been as excited or encouraged about the future!"

Ahmad will give the world an ear-full this year in preparation for the release of his new album. Fans can hear further thoughts on The Death of Me in Ahmad's interview on TheSynCast. He will also perform at the third annual Peanut Butter and Jelly Party in Nashville, TN.

Dj Promote Loves K-Drama's Boom Baptism

Yo just wanted to say I really like K-Drama. Most the stuff he puts out I bump. Half of it are personal favorites and the other half are great to play when I dj. So its like you cant lose with his music.

This new Album Boom Baptism is no different. I dont know if I've mentioned before but if you like creative cluby type hip-hop, you cant miss this album.

I figured Id share my thoughts on the tracks in hopes you got cop it. Thanks to everyone who reads and buys the music we push. We wont let you down... Pick this one up too!!!

Check out the tracks...

1. The Inevitable - Sooo smooth with the MJ sample from Theory Hazit, "k" explains the album

2. On The High - Great Hook... Great Yodel... The concert and street banger for sure

3. Act Out the King - this song will have you singing days later... ACT OUT THE KING!!!

4. Boom Baptism - Wow... not only is the track just boomin... BUT THE HOTTEST VERSE FROM K-DRAMA TO DATE IS ON HERE!!! He just let himself be creative and ripped this junk. 2nd verse starting at 1:19. WOW!!! You gotta hear this verse ya'll. Its right up my alley yo.

5. Ambulance - I want this beat!!!

6. Let Go - Check out Bracey, Dre Murray, Jacob Izrael & R-Swift

7. Tear The Walls Down - Great kickback track about K-Drama and the man "out the box".

8. Full Time - I probably sing this song more than any other track (in my head of course) ... great job on the hoook.

9. We Still Standing - HOT Sample! I love emotional tracks and this one is singing some victory before he even starts rapping it. Listen to this after a fight or when you're discouraged for sure.

10. Praise The Lord - Another HOT Sample! Bump this in your ride!

12. Im So Married - I like this one cause its the time I have ever heard someone rap about being married. Not just loving their wife, but about being married and the covenant... I taught my niece this song... IM SOOO MARRIED!!! lol

13. Air Jordan - HOT SONG FOR THE MASSES

14. UsAWhat - I usually skip this one because I dont feel the hook, but I finally listened to the whole track and I think Im gonna start using it in my live shows.

15. I Anticipate Tomorrow - Great message... again I usually skip the slow songs but today God put this song on me after I was patient... Thanks K, Thanks Lord

16. Hindsight - Havent listened to this one much... sorry :(

In closing, this album is a major release, like you wont hear about it on the news or any major site so it makes it easy to look over, BUT DONT! This is a very MAJOR release from K-Drama that you should put in your collection. Support this dude and in the future you will be able to say, "Man I've been on that K-Drama since 2009 man... shhhh... whatchyou know about some K-Drama."
